Three Year Old Kinder

The three year old kindergarten program offered by Lilydale North Preschool is currently fully funded by the Victorian State Government under the Free Kinder initiative.

Lilydale North Preschool takes an holistic approach to learning, recognising the fundamental importance of emotional wellbeing in learning and development.

In our 3-4’s program we provide a warm and nurturing environment where children feel confident to engage their curiosity, develop their independence, and explore their surroundings.

We are committed to supporting children in their social and emotional development throughout the year as they learn through play what it means to be part of a community - respecting self, each other and environment.

We value children as active and capable learners who should feel acknowledged and recognised for who they are and for their achievements, ideas and contributions. There is always a wide range of learning experiences available for children to choose from according to their interests, capabilities and learning goals, where they can follow these interests with energy and enthusiasm, creating new understandings, having fun and connecting with others.

In 2025 the preschool will be offering an increased number of hours for three year old kinder children (increasing to eight hours/week, from six hours/week).
